About The Position
The Director of National Accounts is directly responsible for managing an existing base of prospects and growing market share, acquiring new clients and developing new business opportunities from the Midwest corporate and incentive market. We are seeking professional, experienced, self-motivated candidates with strong luxury Caribbean group sales expertise.
This key role focuses on strategic account development, client entertainment, organizing site inspections, and leveraging industry relationships to exceed annual sales goals for rooms, food and beverage and room rental, often requiring 35% travel.
Examples Of Duties
1. Sales efforts to achieve budgetary goals, quarterly booking goals and hotel revenue guidelines for the assigned Market Segment.2. Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed goals through solicitation, responding quickly to CVENT leads, National Sales leads and other inquiries.3. Prepare impactful correspondence, proposals and presentations4. Participate in daily business review meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.5. Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.6. Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.7. Work with other departments within the hotel to provide outstanding quality service to customers.8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 3 years of luxury resort, ideally Caribbean sales experience. preferably in the Midwest Corporate and Incentive market (ADOS requires 5+ years )• Highly motivated with excellent selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills• A high degree of attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills.• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. • Refined verbal and written communication skills• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Office, Salesforce• Ability to multi-task and respond to customer needs efficiently and effectively• Ability to work remotely• Ability to travel as needed
Responsibilities
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of the hotel, key features & customer benefits.• Demonstrate the ability to overcome client objections successfully• Prospect and identify a high target accounts and bookings• Build and keep an updated sales funnel and Pipeline• Find new customers and accounts that increase market share.• Maintain relationships with existing partnerships, 3rd parties, DMC and tourism offices• Participate in the Revenue Meeting and other key management meetings as needed• Plan, coordinate and organize fam trips and visits to promote the resort• Achieve food & beverage revenue per group night targets and other revenue sources• Comfortable creating customized presentations in person and in webinars.• Participate in tradeshows and industry events that generate new leads and give visibility.• Prepare correspondence, memos, proposals, contracts and reports.• Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor's activities and guest/client feedback.• Comply with company's policies/service procedures/standards.• Maintain confidentiality of hotel information, correspondence, reports and files.• Achieve or exceed group revenue booking goals as assigned• Develop a business plan to produce new business revenue from assigned market• Solicit and develop new accounts to generate business opportunities• Travel to meet and develop client base as necessary• Ability to develop robust sales solutions and resort sales presentation to positively represent the hotel based on client requests and needs.
