That’s where the HR Team comes in!  With opportunities for development, extensive benefits, and a family atmosphere, we are looking for an HR Coordinator to handle the administrative and operational tasks of year-round recruitment and general office traffic.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay $17.00 per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age

Your primary focus is on managing the logistics and administration of the recruitment cycle, while offering a sincere and warm welcome to team members who come to the office, assessing their needs and proactively assisting or directing them to the relevant person.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing job postings, scheduling onboarding, conducting background checks, preparing onboarding materials and responding to follow-up calls.
  • Coordinating the summer work program, including interns from within the US and international workers on the J1 Visa program. This involves recruitment (virtually or in person), housing allocation, regular communication with all parties, planning cultural events, coordinating departures, and reviewing feedback.
  • Planning international group arrivals and orientation, scheduling group transportation for essential tasks such as Social Security card applications, and planning group activities.
  • Answering team member or applicant questions or directing them to the appropriate person for the answer.
  • Daily administrative tasks including filing, printing, scanning, mail collection, nametag replacement, password resets, and ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Acting professionally in all situations, concentrating on excellent customer service to all team members, managers, applicants and other visitors.
  • Inputting payroll-related information such as hours and tips, time off requests etc.
  • Creating a monthly digital communication for team members, seeking new and relevant information to create and build interest.
  • Assisting with office tasks such as preparation of the monthly Star of the Month and anniversary celebrations.
  • Maintaining a clean and professional appearance in the office; keeping the desk and office space clean, organizing electronic and paper files, up-to-date versions of documents etc.

Qualifications

Personal Skills

  • You will need a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with team members, managers, guests, and vendors.
  • An understanding of basic Spanish would be beneficial but is not a requirement.  However, a willingness to be thoughtful about how you communicate with employees whose first language is not English is essential.
  • You must be confident in the use of all Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, as well as Outlook Office for emails and calendar functions.  Our main system is a payroll program called Paycom.
  • You must demonstrate a keen attention to detail, double-checking accuracy in documents and emails sent out.
  • At times the office can become busy, priorities may change very suddenly, and sometimes it is necessary to manage the office traffic in order to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.  You must be confident in managing and communicating priorities, be able to adjust to changing conditions, and be able to direct visitors in the office to return later or take messages if necessary.
  • You must scrupulously follow all Margaritaville Lake Resort and Driftwood policies and procedures, and understand and communicate the company mission.
  • Finally, a sense of humor and fun is essential!  Margaritaville is all about creating fun, and it can be the best outlet on a stressful day!   If you don’t mind a sudden burst of song, and especially if you’re ready to join in on the chorus, this could be the right job for you!

Physical Requirements

  • Maximum lifting of 20 pounds
  • Use of a computer
  • Hearing, writing, typing, speaking
