Sodexo Live!’s 1883 Provision Co. is seeking a highly motivated Registered Dietitian / Sports Nutritionist to support the Texas Athletics Nutrition Center at UT Austin in Austin, TX. The University of Texas, home of the Texas Longhorns, was founded in 1883 and is located in the heart of downtown Austin. UT proudly supports more than 500 student-athletes in a successful and broad-based NCAA Division I intercollegiate program.
This Registered Dietitian will serve as an active team member between the Texas Athletics Performance Nutrition & 1883 Provisions Co. Food Service staffs, merging knowledge, expertise, and passion in both areas to bring goals into action at the Texas Athletics Nutrition Center. We strive to have the best athlete dining facility in the country, creating a welcoming environment for student-athletes to learn how to fuel to win at sport and in life.

The successful candidate will:
- Oversee quality control of daily meal service ensuring accurate menu execution, food labeling, food service, and that the overall quality/freshness/eye appeal meets high standards;
- Assist with menu development, understanding unique needs and preferences of collegiate student-athletes;
- Be present at meals to field questions and serve as expert for food allergies and intolerances;
- Create sample display plates that coordinate with nutrition education initiatives and goals;
- Develop & execute creative nutrition education initiatives and events.These would include consistent cooking demonstrations, food samplings highlighting nutrients, and more;
- Develop & execute nutrition education messaging and labeling throughout the TANC and on social media;
- Lead integration of Teamworks Nutrition (Kitchen) and maintain oversight to ensure accuracy of data and integration success;
- Execute recipe modifications & nutrition analysis to ensure nutritional goals, while maintaining flavor and quality;
- Provide staff educations to food service staff on relevant topics such as food allergies/intolerances, performance nutrition, and more;
- Use data from daily feedback from student-athletes and staff, consumption reports, and anonymous surveys to ensure satisfaction;
- Drive innovation through benchmarking and attending trade shows;
- Mentor dietetic interns and culinary nutrition interns; and/or
- Take on other duties as assigned.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
- are a Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and state licensed in TX;
- have performance nutrition knowledge/experience, strongly preferred;
- have the proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
- have demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role; and/or
- have a history of working independently with little direction.

As The University of Texas continues at the forefront of the college football landscape, Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at Cambell-Williams Field remains a state-of-the-art facility.
The stadium, which is in 2023 is in its 100th season of operation, has continually gone through upgrades and renovations to enhance the fan and student-athlete experience.
In May 2019, Texas Athletics broke ground on a major expansion project in the south endzone od Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium with team moving into their new facility in August 2021. Fans began enjoying all of the amenities associated with it when the Longhorns kicked off against Louisiana on Sept. 4. The $175 million stadium expansion project includes more than a 106,000-square-foot training facility footprint that provides significant upgrades to the Football coaches and staff offices, team areas, strength and development center and athletic training/medical facilities. It also will enhance the fan experience greatly with an end zone seating area of more than 4,500 seats, including more than 1,300 student seats. It includes the Founders Lounge, Myers-Dodds Legacy Club, Living Room and Loge Boxes, as well as a Field Club area right near the action that accommodates more than 800 people. Atop it all is a 160-foot by 44-foot videoboard to visually celebrate all of the action. The total gross square footage of the entire project is more than 215,000-square feet.
