Compensation: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, Part-Time

Overview

OPPORTUNITY:  Expeditor

As a member of the Culinary team, the Expeditor will help lead dinner service by conducting and directing the dishes out to the dining room. They will ensure that an elevated guest experience directly evoking a sense of place is achieved. Core responsibilities include; setting up & organizing the kitchen pass, and woodgrill, readying and necessary equipment for service. Managing dietary restrictions and any/all check modifications. Providing optimal department efficiency by working with the team while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinating each service period from the pass.
  • Making sure all necessary garnishes are ready for dinner service.
  • Setting up & Breaking down the pass area. 
  • Assist when needed on the floor executing any service needs. 

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make impactful and effective decisions regarding profitability, service, attention to details, and safe working environment standards.
  • Personnel development and coaching skills.
  • Flexible schedule; is able to adjust to the needs of the guests and staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a High School diploma, and college education, or culinary school apprentice experience preferred.
  • Must have at least 2 years of kitchen experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire a valid CA Food Handler Card.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions during computer usage, and various other required job duties.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time at varying structure levels and stairways.
  • Ability to be exposed to varying temperatures and moistures (indoors, outdoors, refrigerators, storage rooms, hot ranges, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from ground to overhead for moderate distances.
  • Ability to push and pull forces of up to 50 lbs.
