The Opportunity
Delaware North is hiring an Associate Category Manager to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As an Associate Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing and providing detailed analysis of grocery and convenience category performance, including growth objectives and savings opportunities.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $58458 - $76800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities
- Determine and implement optimal category planograms to maximize sales and productivity
- Oversee product assortment, pricing, and promotions to align with industry insights and trends
- Work with distributors and wholesalers to negotiate costs as well as RFPs
- Analyze promotional performance and make recommendations regarding future promotions
- Maintain productive working relationship with internal stakeholders and vendor
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail, food service, or with a consumer goods company
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite with special focus on Excel
- Solid understanding of shopper insights and panel data preferred
- Preferred experience with Nielsen Spaceman or Blue Yonder (JDA)
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred, category management certification is a plus
