Shashi Group, LLC is currently looking for an experienced Multi-PropertyStaff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation.

What you’ll do:

  • Review and reconcile hotel revenues and payments for multiple operating entities on daily basis.
  • Maintain accurate and current Income Journal, AP and AR records.
  • Review accounts payable coding for payment and posting.
  • Perform weekly Check Run.
  • Assist with Payroll processing.
  • Perform the month-end close reconciliation of accounts with comparison to forecast.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for review by management.
  • Monitor all local tax compliance that applies, ensure that taxes are charged and collected correctly, file the local tax with the concerned authority on a regular basis.
  • Work collaboratively with property and corporate management employees on all finance and accounting related matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Participate in department and company meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (flexibility during month end close if needed)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management related field preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years accounting experience within Hotel/ Hospitality preferred.
  • Experience in a Centralized Accounting platform or multi-faceted financial organizations preferred.
  • Experience with various branded and non-branded systems (PMS & POS)
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and GAAP concepts.
  • Proven ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheets and familiarity with various enterprise-level Accounting Software Systems.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work both independently and in a team environment, and grasp concepts quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and detail oriented with ability to think critically.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfil responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goal.
