Bistro Attendant

Description

Overview: A Kolter Hospitality Bistro Attendant delivers service excellence to our guests and creates a welcoming, comfortable environment. This position is responsible for taking orders, preparing and delivering items, following accurate cash handling procedures, organizing and maintaining a clean service area, cleaning tables and area, and following all health and alcohol laws.

Performance Expectations:

1. Greet guests and ensure prompt requests for food and drink orders.
2. Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
3. Relay orders to the kitchen and beverage services.
4. Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal portions have been completed.
5. Maintain a clean work and storage area.
6. Assist in the set-up, cleaning, and refreshing of the function rooms.
7. Process all orders using Micros and collect payment from customers
8. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
9. Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests (room service delivery).
10. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of Food and Beverage prep areas.
11. Count the bank at end of shifts, and follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
12. Perform all side work at the end of shift including rolling silverware, stocking, and other duties as assigned.
13. Report any items in need of repair.
14. Follow all safety procedures while working.

Qualifications

General Requirements:

Able to work weekends

Report to work on time and in proper uniform.

Experience: None. Customer Service or Hospitality experience a plus.

Education: None

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.

Occasional lifting, pushing and pulling.
