A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Groups Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue through the booking of group conferences and events at our hotel. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, a proactive approach to generating leads, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The GCandE Sales Executive will interact frequently with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, a Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Identify and pursue sales opportunities for group conferences, meetings, and events. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other stakeholders to generate business for the hotel.
  • Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue
  • Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team
Negotiation Skills: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure bookings and maximize revenue. Ensure that pricing and terms are competitive while meeting the hotel's profitability goals. Converting Business: Convert leads into confirmed bookings by effectively communicating the value proposition of hosting events at our hotel. Provide personalized service and assistance to clients throughout the booking process.
  • Manage an events schedule to maximize yield
  • Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach
Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of conferences and events. Communicate client requirements and preferences to the appropriate departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to identify new business opportunities. Utilize market insights to develop targeted sales strategies and promotional campaigns. Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs and expand the hotel's network.
  • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
  • Participate in hotel promotional activities

Requirements

A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Confident telephone manner
  • High level of IT skills
  • Excellent grooming standards
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and achieve sales targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office  and CRM software: Delphi, Onq Flexibility to attend events and meetings outside of regular business hours. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the hospitality industry.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
  • Market/ Dubai experience and GCE Experience within Hilton is a plus
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference and Events function
  • Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field
