Position Summary

This is your chance to be part of a Global Distribution Team that is an important part of Hilton's Commercial Services organization around the world. As a Senior Accounts Analyst, Travel Agent Inquiries, you will support the team responsible for booking channel management and negotiations, booking channel optimization and operations, and services including payment and transaction settlement for online and digital third-party channels driving business to Hilton's hotels globally. On the Inquiry and Customer Services team reporting to Director of Distribution Services, you will work on projects including completing monthly reconciliation reviews for our important business partners, for completing ad-hoc reports, audits, and analyses to support the account management of key partners and identifying corrective actions to address data issues with hotels and travel agencies.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  •    Deliver monthly reconciliation review and reporting to important business partners, communicate with all stakeholders to ensure that all reconciliation reports are completed accurately and within set deadlines.
  •    Pro-actively identify data issues and engage with corporate functions and hotels to implement corrective actions and improve operational performance.
  •    Perform any other reconciliation, analysis, database updates and inquiry-related duties as directed.
  •    Maintain weekly updates on international hotels’ distribution list and communicate with hotels.

    How you will collaborate with others:

  •    Participate in onboarding of new business partners and in design of reconciliation review process to best support their needs.
  •    Create documentation of end-to-end reconciliation process, and quality control checks, and cross-train other team members within the department.
  •    Support team members within the Inquiry Team when demand is high by sharing workload and take the lead with resolving more complex issues.

    What projects you will take ownership of:

  •    Manage annual renewal of central commission invoicing program for UK travel agents, communicate renewal timelines with vendor and UK travel agencies, monitor for missing and incorrect registration, and follow up on any registration queries.
  •    Identify corrective actions to address data issues with hotels and travel agencies.

    To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  •    BA/BSc Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in-lieu thereof
  •    Experience with processing and/or reconciling commissions or other vendor-related payment.
  •    Experience in Revenue Management, Sales, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related industry.
  •    Experience with data reconciliations and possessing advanced Excel skills with the ability to use and develop Excel models, e.g. with formulas, pivot tables and Macros.

    It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  •    Working knowledge and familiarity with business operations and/or customer service in international markets
  •    Multi-lingual
  •    Proficiency with Business Intelligence platforms (eg. MicroStrategy, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBi, etc.)
