Housekeeping Manager

As the Executive Housekeeper at Sands Harbor Resort, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations and ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Staff Supervision: Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and laundry personnel.
• Scheduling: Create and maintain work schedules for housekeeping employees, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and areas of the hotel.
• Training and Development: Provide training and ongoing coaching to housekeeping staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to hotel cleanliness standards, safety protocols, and guest service expectations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and that orders are placed as needed.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with brand standards.
• Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback related to housekeeping services, address any complaints or issues promptly, and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development of the housekeeping department budget and manage departmental expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing feedback on performance, identifying areas for improvement, and recognizing exceptional performance.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that housekeeping staff adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Communication: Maintain open communication channels with other hotel departments, particularly front office and maintenance, to coordinate housekeeping activities and address guest needs effectively.
• Housekeeping Standards: Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping tasks, including room cleaning procedures, turndown service, and laundry operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of housekeeping equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and laundry machines, to ensure proper functioning.
• Environmental Initiatives: Implement environmentally friendly practices within the housekeeping department, such as recycling programs, energy-saving measures, and the use of eco-friendly cleaning products.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and motivation to the housekeeping team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties related to the housekeeping department, such as payroll processing, record-keeping, and report generation.
  
  Requirements:
• 3-4 years housekeeping experience a MUST
• Bi-lingual preferred
