Sous Chef - The Eagles Nest Fine Dining Restaurant
Education: Ability to read and write English
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years culinary experience, with a preference for upscale fine dining environments
Serve Safe Certified
Proficiency in all cooking techniques
Experience in batch and quantity cooking
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with front of house staff
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities:
Lead the culinary team in executing the highest quality culinary experience for our guests at The Eagles Nest
Work in tandem with the front of house manager to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and dining room operations
Assign tasks to kitchen team members based on skills and strengths, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of food orders
Maintain kitchen sanitation and adhere to health department guidelines
Continuously strive for excellence in food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English required); Proficient in fast-paced kitchen environments; Experience in kitchen administration is advantageous
