Job Description

The Assistant Chief Engineer will assist the Chief Engineer with the following: the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensuring all systems operate to regulatory standards, all property assets are constantly maintained to the highest level and all legally mandated safety operating systems/criteria are adhered to by all; assist the Chief with the entire center grounds and Boulevard/Front Street. Accountable for managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Additional responsibilities include training, mentoring and the development of the engineering team, scheduling of employees, directing and coordinating all engineering activities to ensure efficient management of engineering/hotel operations.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements: Five years' experience as an Assistant Chief Engineer or, 7 years as a Senior Engineer or facilities engineer in a Hospitality related environment. Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and safety operating systems; HVAC experience a plus. Knowledge in OSHA regulations, National, State and Local building regulations and codes, equipment operations and preventive maintenance procedures. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.   Must be able to pass a background check.
