Job Overview

The Pool Service Attendant is responsible for the overall guest experience at the pool including, but not limited to:  greeting all guests, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring guests are comfortable, assisting guest with towel and chair needs, taking food and beverage (alcohol and non-alcohol drinks) orders, and stocking and preparing pool supplies for guests on a continuous basis. The Pool Service Attendant will provide oversight of the pool to ensure all guests are using the pool area safely, while also ensuring the guests food and beverage needs are maintained.  The Pool Service Attendant is a seasonal position; once the pool season ends, the Pool Service Attendant will be given an opportunity to transfer into the Beverage Department.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Uses electronic ordering system/device to place food and beverage orders for guests
  • Delivers completed food and beverage orders to guests timely, ensuring orders are correct
  • Has the ability to effectively work as part of a team, collaborating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepares cabanas for guests as needed and assists guests with towel distribution and lounge chair set up
  • Upholds pool décor by maintaining the set-up and performing necessary housekeeping duties (picking up towels, cups, and trash in all areas)
  • Enforces pool rules and controls pool access to registered hotel guests
  • Properly opens and closes each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Works with the other departments to ensure a high level of guest service
  • Maintains a working knowledge Wind Creek offerings and special events
  • Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries professionally, courteously and promptly
  • Provides accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Maintains a clean, safe, fully stocked and well-organized work area
  • Develops ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time
  • Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction are achieved and maintained
  • Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a quality work environment
  • Regularly attends, participates in and supports training and staff meetings
  • Assists in all areas of the operation as requested by management
  • Communicates to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention
  • Administer pool closing during inclement weather and biohazard
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older
  • Internal Applicants (must have six (6) months Pool experience or Food and Beverage serving experience)-required 
  • Six (6) Months Previous experience in a similar role, such as serving in a restaurant, hotel, or resort is required
  • Must be able to carry up to 20lbs on a service tray for extended periods of time)-required 
  • Must be able to swim proficiently; swimming test may be administered)-required 
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs)-required 
  • Must be able to work outside in various climates and extreme weather conditions)-required 
  • Must be able to attain CPR certification)-required 
  • Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and TIPS training
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as poolside service often operates during peak leisure times)-required 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift trays of food and drinks, and navigate crowded or slippery poolside areas safely)-required 
  • Must possess excellent communication skills)-required 
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition)-required 
  • Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times)-required 
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, weekend, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task)-required 
  • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills)-required 
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position)-required 
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment)-required
