The Opportunity 

Delaware North Travel and Hospitality is hiring full-time Dishwasher Utility Workers to join our team at Charleston Airport in Charleston, South Carolina. When you use your knowledge of kitchen operations as a Kitchen Helper and Utility Worker, there is no end destination to your development. Carefully cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen space and equipment, as well as all equipment used for serving food and beverages, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and quality dining experience for our guests is our focal point. Responsibilities 

  • Using hands or a dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, ensuring all sanitizer levels on dish machines and pot sinks are at the specific requirements for health standards
  • Remove trash from the dish room and transport it to the dumpster, as well as clean and sanitize the garbage cans
  • Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
  • Clean work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, keeping the kitchen wares storage organised

Qualifications 

  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Capacity to work cooperatively with others

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to carry up to 60 lbs, placing items above and below head height
  • Standing, walking, bending for the duration of the shift, occasionally pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms
  • Exposed to variable temperatures and damp environments, and often have hands immersed in water
