House Attendant at the beautiful Abbey Resort
Compensation: $14.00 per hour, Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION: The House Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel’s public areas and guest rooms. This position involves supporting the housekeeping team by performing various tasks to ensure a welcoming and clean environment for guests. 

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

Housekeeping experience desirable.

Familiarity with HotSOS application desirable

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Neat, pleasant personality.

Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to read room numbers, dates and basic instructions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform daily cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.

Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms as needed.

Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, sheets, towels, etc.).

Assist housekeepers with room turnovers and special requests.

Transport linen, towels, and cleaning supplies to designated areas.

Help with the organization and storage of housekeeping supplies.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Utilize a mobile device through-out each shift that displays work orders for your section.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor, or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours

ENVIRONMENT: Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Occasional outdoor work. Good ventilation with artificial lighting.
