Line Cook

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the quality and consistency of food served.
• Prepare ingredients and dishes following standard recipes.
• Assist with inventory checks and organization of kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all food prep and storage areas.
• Properly use, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Help with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Comply fully with all Department of Health food safety standards.
• Support the kitchen team with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of hands-on cooking experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
• High school reading ability.
• Solid understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to take direction and continuously improve.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, bend, and move for 6–8 hours at a time.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Use of hands and arms for food prep and equipment operation.
• Vision requirements include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
• Comfortable working in a moderate to loud kitchen environment.
• Must be able to work extended hours during peak seasons and holidays.
