Pool & Rooftop Manager

Position Summary

The Pool & Rooftop Manager is responsible for the daily operation, service standards, and overall guest experience at the Hotel Phoenix Bless Your Heart Pool and Rooftop venues. This position oversees staff performance, safety, service execution, and financial results while ensuring a vibrant, welcoming, and on-brand atmosphere. The Pool & Rooftop Manager works closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to drive exceptional service and operational success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the Bless Your Heart Pool and Rooftop venues, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate Pool & Rooftop associates including servers, bartenders, attendants, and support staff.

  • Ensure all service standards, safety procedures, and brand guidelines are consistently met.

  • Monitor guest flow, reservations, seating, and service pacing to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

  • Oversee cash handling, POS procedures, inventory, and cost controls.

  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

  • Address guest concerns and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.

  • Support the execution of special events, promotions, and seasonal programming at the Bless Your Heart Pool and Rooftop.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of all Pool & Rooftop areas.

  • Enforce Hotel Phoenix policies, code of conduct, and progressive discipline practices.

Leadership & Guest Experience
  • Lead by example with a strong service mindset and professional demeanor.

  • Create an energetic, fun, and safe environment for guests and associates.

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, promotions, and service focus.

  • Build strong working relationships with Culinary, Security, Engineering, and Front Office teams.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of Food & Beverage supervisory or management experience, preferably in pool, rooftop, or high-volume bar environments.

  • Knowledge of pool safety standards and alcohol service laws.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.

  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor, and seasonal environment.

  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
