Overnight Shift

$900 to $1500 per week average with tips. 

Position Summary: The In-Room Dining Overnight Server at The Mark Hotel delivers an elevated, discreet, and highly personalized dining experience to guests during overnight hours. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while upholding The Mark’s luxury service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take in-room dining orders with accuracy, professionalism, and warmth via phone and in person
  • Provide detailed menu knowledge, including ingredient descriptions, dietary accommodations, and special requests
  • Prepare, deliver, and set up in-room dining orders with proper presentation and timing
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest privacy, discretion, and service etiquette
  • Ensure all orders meet quality, temperature, and presentation standards prior to delivery
  • Retrieve trays and service equipment promptly and discreetly
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the in-room dining pantry, service areas, hot boxes, and carts
  • Restock overnight supplies, beverages, silverware, and service items
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary team, Front Office, and overnight management
  • Address guest concerns with poise and escalate issues appropriately
  • Complete assigned side work and opening/closing duties in accordance with hotel standards
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Qualifications:

    • Previous luxury hotel, fine dining, or in-room dining experience preferred
    • Strong verbal communication and polished guest-facing skills
    • Ability to work independently and maintain focus during overnight shifts
    • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with The Mark brand
    • Ability to lift and transport trays, hot boxes, and carts (up to 40 lbs)
    • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Each New York City suite and guest room at The Mark Hotel is a luxurious, serene retreat. As in the great public spaces, the hotel's designer Jacques Grange applied his same bold vision and exacting eye for detail, but in a quieter, more private key. The furnishings for the guest rooms and suites have all been personally designed or selected by Mr. Grange, in pale soothing tones that evoke the height of Parisian luxury in the 1930s. State-of-the-art baths, sheathed in black and white marble and nickel fittings, are a contemporary update of Grand Hotel elegance.
