The Aloft and Element at BWI are seeking a Part-Time Hotel Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations, payroll processing, and limited associate recordkeeping. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hotel accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The Hotel Bookkeeper plays a key role in ensuring accurate payroll, cash handling, and financial documentation while assisting with basic onboarding and associate administrative needs.
Process and approve biweekly payroll accurately and on time
Enter daily tips and gratuities from F&B operations into the payroll system
Reconcile daily cash, credit cards, and house accounts
Count, prepare, and manage weekly cash deposits
Retrieve and deposit cash from guest laundry and other outlets as needed
Perform bank audits and reconciliations in collaboration with the General Manager
Scan, code, file, and research invoices for payment
Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and financial reporting
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company and audit standards
Support annual audits and respond to financial inquiries as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience as a hotel bookkeeper or in hospitality accounting preferred
Working knowledge of payroll systems, accounting processes
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Professional demeanor and reliable work ethic
Must be able to pass a background check
