Job Description:

The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during banquet and event functions in accordance with Marriott brand standards. This role supports meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events by ensuring timely, polished, and guest-focused service while maintaining a professional appearance and positive demeanor at all times.

This position will be not available until February 2026.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide high-quality, full-service food and beverage service during banquet events, including plated meals, buffets, and reception-style functions

• Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms according to event orders (BEOs) and Marriott standards

• Serve guests promptly, professionally, and courteously, anticipating needs and responding to requests

• Ensure proper table settings, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the event

• Communicate effectively with the Director of Banquets, banquet captains, kitchen staff, and event managers

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines

• Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed

• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and service procedures

• Uphold Marriott’s service culture, appearance standards, and core values

• Assist with additional duties as assigned to support successful events

Job Requirements

• Previous banquet or full-service hospitality experience preferred (hotel or upscale venue experience a plus)
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to lift and carry trays, tables, and equipment (up to 50 lbs)

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly during service

• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• You must be able to pass a thorough background check and be drug free
