THE ROLE:

As a Server Assistant at NoMI Lounge & Garden, you will play a vital role in shaping the guest experience—one defined by grace, precision, and genuine warmth. You will support our service team in delivering the seamless, intuitive hospitality that distinguishes Park Hyatt Chicago.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring each table is impeccably set, cleared, and refreshed with thoughtful attention to detail.

• Maintaining the pristine presentation of the dining room, anticipating needs before they arise, and ensuring all service areas are fully stocked and guest‑ready.

• Collaborating closely with our greeters, culinary, food runners, servers, and bar teams to uphold a harmonious flow of communication and service.

• Providing discreet, anticipatory support that enhances the refined ambiance of NoMI Kitchen, Lounge & Garden and Pak Hyatt Chicago which untimely elevates every guest interaction.

Your presence contributes to the rhythm of the dining experience—quietly orchestrating the details that allow our guests to feel cared for, welcomed, and immersed in luxury.

WAGE INFORMATION:

The hourly rate for this position is $15.75 Tips. This position is also eligible to earn overtime and premium pay under certain circumstances.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum two years in an upscale or fine‑dining restaurant with a strong understanding of refined service standards.

• Forbes Standards: Familiarity with Forbes Travel Guide–level service: anticipatory, discreet, and impeccably polished.

• Cuisine Knowledge: Appreciation for fine cuisine, ingredient‑driven menus, and culinary techniques, with the ability to speak confidently about dishes.

• Beverage Skills: Experience preparing specialty coffees, understanding tea varieties, and offering thoughtful recommendations and preparation styles consistent with luxury service.

• Certification: Possession of a valid Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain one prior to start).

• Communication: Warm, articulate, and poised communication that enhances guest interactions and supports seamless teamwork.

• Detail Focus: A meticulous eye for presentation, cleanliness, and the subtle refinements that elevate the guest experience.

• Composure: Ability to lift moderate weight and maintain a polished, calm presence while standing for extended periods in a dynamic environment.

• Collaboration: A harmonious working style that supports fluid coordination with culinary, bar, and service teams.

• Professionalism: Consistent poise, discretion, and a refined appearance aligned with a world‑class luxury restaurant.

• Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the rhythm of luxury dining.
