Security Guard

Job Summary: The Overnight Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, staff, and property during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring hotel policies and safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol hotel property, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and common spaces, to ensure safety and security.

• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems.

• Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, or suspicious activities.

• Assist guests and staff with safety concerns or incidents.

• Enforce hotel policies and report violations when necessary.

• Complete incident reports and maintain detailed logs of nightly activities.

• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency services when required.

• Ensure all doors, gates, and restricted areas are properly secured.

• Provide basic customer service by answering guest questions and offering assistance when needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous security, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts.

• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.

• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and patrol the property.

Typical Schedule:

• Overnight shifts (commonly 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM or similar).

• Weekends and holidays may be required.
