The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Camper Service Attendant to join our team at Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. As a Camper Service Attendant, you will sell retail merchandise to guests, creating an excellent experience for our guests at all times.

$16.00 – $16.00 / hour

What will you do?

Greet and acknowledge guests, answer guests’ questions, and assist whenever possible, as well as process returns, with the approval of the supervisor
Processes sales with the appropriate point of sale system, accepts payment, counts change, and bags merchandise
Maintains a clean and organized store or stand with orderly back-stock
Ensure all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed, notifying the General Manager of defective, mis-marked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, or damaged merchandise
Remove trash
Clean showers, bathrooms, and laundry room
Stack and/or move wood
Watches for and recognizes security risks and thefts, and reports to security and management

More about you

No high school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems required
Previous experience in retail or customer service environment preferred
Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills with the ability to accurately handle money and count change

Physical requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for entire length of shift
Ability to bending, reach, walk up and down stairs, and climb on step stool frequently
