Summary

Manage the daily operations of the assigned restaurant and forecast the needs of the outlet. Ensure a high quality of dining experience for all guests through continuous training of service staff and open communication with all support departments. Support the professional development of Assistant Restaurant Managers in the department. Promote a positive work environment. Must enjoy working with people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort in a positive manner, practice the RICH philosophy.

Manage all administrative duties to include; scheduling of staff, performance reviews, attendance, exception and variance tracking, coaching and counseling, interviewing, hiring, and terminations.

Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement; assess staff performance, provide coaching and feedback,

Develop and train staff on guest service principles, service standards, TIPS alcohol awareness and sanitation best practices.

Conduct daily walk-through of physical plant focusing on preventative maintenance.

Master the point of sale, requisitioning, table management, and time and attendance systems.

Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Maintain accurate inventories of all restaurant supplies and equipment.

Review the monthly P&L financial report, research any irregularities, and complete the P&L Variance Report.

Maintain checkbook for daily revenue and operating expenses.

Perform table visitations with guests.

Communicate all pertinent shift information in Log Book.

Attend scheduled meetings and required training.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employees in the restaurant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education

Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of three years experience in Hospitality/Restaurant management or similar environment. Must have excellent guest service skills, strong interpersonal and time management skills. Self –motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, policies and procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to calculate food, beverage, and labor costs as a percentage of revenue.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle and resolve problems involving guests and staff members in a calm manner.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License. Attain ServSafe Food Manager certification and TIPS responsible beverage service certification within 90 days of hire.
