Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring a full-time Sushi Cook to join our team at Morimoto Asia in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. As a Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, ensuring freshness, quality, and proper presentation. What will you do?
- Use precise knife skills to slice and portion raw fish and other sushi ingredients.
- Maintain an organized and efficient sushi station, working with kitchen team members to manage workflow
- Manage inventory for sushi ingredients, ensuring that supplies are stocked, rotated, and maintained
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi work area.
- Adhere to food safety regulations
More about you
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sushi cook with strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and excellent knife skills
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to communicate and read in English
- Must have own kitchen tools such as chef’s knives, paring knife, and peeler
- Knowledge of how to use commercial kitchen equipment
- High school diploma or GED may not be required, but preferred
Physical requirements
- Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
