Position: Pool Supervisor

Report To: Pool Managers

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Pool Manager(s), the Pool Supervisor is directly responsible for assisting in running the Swimming Pools day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include assisting Pool Managers with day-to-day scheduling, training employees, directing employees during opening and closing and keeping up the appearance of the Swimming Pool deck.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and acknowledge Members and Guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in resolving Member issues by providing support, gathering details and escalating matters to the manager on duty when appropriate.
  • Identify operational and service‑related improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to the Swimming Pool procedures, safety practices and Guest experience to the Pool Managers.
  • Participate in weekly Pool Supervisor meetings to align on goals, updates and operational priorities.
  • Support daily Swimming Pool opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and the facility is fully prepared before opening and properly secured at the end of the day.
  • Oversee daily Swimming Pool and Snack Bar operations, serving as an accessible resource for staff questions and operational guidance.
  • Assist in training Pool Staff Members, reinforcing safety standards, service expectations and operational procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings, pre‑shift line‑ups and required training sessions to stay informed and aligned with Club standards.
  • Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as directed by Pool Managers.
  • Support Pool Managers in supervising Lifeguards and Waitstaff, helping maintain performance, communication and adherence to policies.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must be ServeSafe certified. Individuals 18 years of age or older need a TABC certification.
  • The employee is routinely required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid Certification (Must be completed at Lakewood) (when applicable).

Scheduling Requirements:

Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays – based on the level of Club Activities.
