Description

Position Summary

Nestled on the shores of Lake LBJ, Horseshoe Bay Resort is where luxury meets genuine Texas hospitality. As a Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our "paradise" by administering all training activities, developing engaging instructional content, and facilitating both classroom and online learning. This role is essential in driving associate engagement, supporting the Manager in Training (MIT) program, and ensuring our team is equipped to deliver world-class service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Onboarding & Orientation: Administer training processes for new associates, including Crescent-required and property-specific curricula, New Hire Orientation, and property tours.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and create training classes, seminars, and digital programs with clearly defined learning objectives. Write and modify instructional materials to keep programs current.
  • Program Management: Research and coordinate specialized training for all personnel levels (service, labor, technical, and management). Oversee the Manager in Training (MIT) program.
  • Facilitation & Logistics: Deliver high-energy presentations and manage all training aids, handouts, and visual equipment.
  • Vendor Relations: Identify, negotiate, and manage professional relationships with external training sources and vendors.
  • Administrative Oversight: Maintain meticulous training records and tracking systems.
  • Internal Communication: Manage associate recognition displays, bulletin boards, and publish the quarterly Associate Newsletter to foster a culture of belonging.
  • General HR Support: Assist with performance management initiatives and other HR duties or special projects as assigned.

Employment Standards & Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Expertise in PowerPoint and authoring tools is a significant plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written skills; Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is preferred.
  • Platform Skills: Dynamic presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Professionalism: High degree of perceptiveness, confidentiality, and a neat, professional appearance.
  • Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle report.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Mobility: Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach repetitively as part of a daily routine.
  • Lifting: Moderate physical effort required to carry training materials (15–25 lbs).
  • Acuity: Normal vision (corrective lenses acceptable) and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff.
