Full-Time
Morning Shift Weekday and Weekend

BASIC PURPOSE:

To enhance the guest experience by engaging and greeting guests, escorting guests to tables, assisting servers with pre-bussing of tables and thanking guests upon departure to achieve quality service and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintain stock and cleanliness of workstation, including storage rooms and kitchen.
  2. Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
  3. Assist in promptly clearing dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting.
  4. Be a brand ambassador for our Restaurant and Hotel: its people, its values, its ingredients and its success.
  5. Resolve guests concerns and be able to anticipate guest needs and take immediate corrective action to appease guests.
  6. Work as a team by assisting other team members as needed.
  7. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  8. Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
  9. Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
  10. Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  11. Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School education or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: 1 year restaurant experience required. Hotel experience preferred, but not required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to respond with CARE to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience.
  2. Ability to work as a team and build positive relationships with team members through interactions and communication.
  3. Hold a current Food Handler Certificate.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. 
  5. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  6. Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
  7. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  8. Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
  9. Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.  
  10. Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
