The Role
The Clayfield is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Housekeeping Manager to lead all housekeeping and laundry operations for the hotel.  Reporting to the Director of Rooms, this is a department head-level role responsible for setting standards, building and training the housekeeping team, and ensuring an exceptional level of cleanliness, care, and consistency across guest rooms and public spaces. The Housekeeping Manager plays a critical leadership role in shaping the guest experience and establishing a strong culture of pride, accountability, and craftsmanship from day one.

Working closely with the Director of Rooms, this role will support the development and implementation of housekeeping standards, structure, and operating procedures from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Establish and maintain luxury-level cleanliness and presentation standards across the property
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and lead the housekeeping team, fostering a culture of care, consistency, and pride in work
  • Develop staffing models, labor budgets, and productivity standards aligned with business levels
  • Oversee linen, terry, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies, including inventory controls and vendor coordination
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Front Office to ensure seamless guest room readiness and communication
  • Implement SOPs, quality assurance processes, and inspection routines
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards, including Hyatt and Urgo requirements
  • Support pre-opening activities including OS&E selection, room set-up, mock rooms, and operational readiness
  • Play a key role in pre-opening, soft-opening, and grand-opening operations

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in housekeeping leadership, ideally within luxury or upscale hotels
  • Strong operational knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and cleanliness standards
  • Proven experience leading, training, and motivating large teams
  • Solid understanding of labor planning, scheduling, and cost controls
  • High attention to detail with a hands-on, floor-focused leadership style
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced pre-opening environment

Why Join The Clayfield

  • A rare opportunity to build the housekeeping department of a brand-new luxury hotel from the ground up
  • A leadership role with real influence on standards, culture, and guest experience
  • A collaborative environment supported by engaged ownership, Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, and Urgo Hotels & Resorts
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits designed to support long-term growth
  • Access to Hyatt colleague travel benefits
