Overview

You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will warmly and enthusiastically greet arriving guests and assist them with check in/out to ensure they are comfortable and feel welcome while also providing information. You will promote hotel services and amenities to the guests.

The resort offers a year-round destination with ski-in/ski-out access to Palisades Tahoe, the third largest ski resort in North America, a championship golf, relaxing spa treatments and a wide range of recreational activities. Our sophisticated lodge environment perfectly complements its rugged surroundings and reflects the spirit of the region.

Our on-site restaurant options include casual dining at Sandy’s Pub, breakfast cuisine at Cascades, a cozy coffeehouse and marketplace at Bearshine Café, delicious Asian-inspired comfort food at the Iron Road Noodle House, and fine dining at Six Peaks Grille. Additional resort amenities comprise our heated swimming pools open year-round, a 150-foot water slide, scenic hiking and biking trails, fly-fishing and cross-country ski centers, and a private ice-skating rink that is available to guests throughout the winter season.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, assist them with check in and check out, and respond promptly with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that can relate to guests and associates.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met.
  • Enjoy multi-tasking at a fast pace while having an impeccable eye for detail l to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility. This is a demanding business, and we look for flexibility with workdays and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun!
  • Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others and assisting them with creating authentic vacation or travel experiences.
  • People Person. The best part of serving others is creating guest experiences that go beyond the expected.
  • Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate both verbally and through legible and grammatically correct writing.
  • A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 30lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of answering phones and using a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor working environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
