Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Starbucks Barista at the Hartford Marriott and are actively looking to meet the best and brightest talent that the hospitality industry has to offer. We would welcome the opportunity to speak to you regarding this position. 

  • Must be dependable.

  • Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food items according to Starbucks recipes and standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Accurately handle cash, credit transactions, and mobile payments.

  • Stay knowledgeable about Starbucks products and promotions to provide recommendations to customers.

  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet customer demand, particularly during peak hours.

  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.

  • Assist in stocking inventory and replenishing supplies as needed.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Starbucks’ mission and values.

Requirements

Candidates must also have the following qualifications:

  • Must be an outgoing, positive, friendly person.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Prior Barista strongly preferred.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule weekdays, weekends and holidays. 
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
  • You must be able to pass a thorough background check as well as be drug free.
