The Area Marketing Manager serves as the brand overseer and local marketing engine for three lifestyle-positioned oceanfront properties on Florida’s Space Coast. This hands-on, execution-focused role requires someone who can think strategically and execute independently — developing content, managing digital channels, and translating property activity into compelling marketing across all platforms.
The Driftwood Culture
Driftwood is a roll-up-your-sleeves culture. We’re forward-thinking, on trend, and allergic to the same old approach. We want someone with a point of view, the confidence to champion it, and the work ethic to back it up. If you need hand-holding or a committee to make decisions, this probably isn’t the right fit. If you’re energized by autonomy, variety, and properties with real personality — keep reading.
Social Media & Content
- Manage all hotel and restaurant social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and any other active platforms for all three properties and their F&B outlets
- Develop and execute monthly content calendars for each property and outlet — photography, video, copy, and scheduling
- Be present at property activations, F&B events, and key moments to capture photo and video content for use across social and digital channels
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and build community across all platforms
- Track social analytics and make data-driven adjustments to content strategy and posting cadence
Digital Channel Management
- Make content and copy updates across all digital platforms: brand.com pages, property vanity sites, and all restaurant and outlet websites
- Maintain accurate and current OTA listings across Expedia, Booking.com, and all relevant channels: photos, descriptions, amenities, and seasonal content
- Own Google My Business, Yelp, and CVB listings for all three hotels and their F&B outlets: hours, menus, photos, and review response cadence
- Manage single-platform menu listings (OpenTable, Resy, SinglePlatform, or equivalent) and ensure all third-party restaurant profiles are current
- Coordinate with the VP of Marketing and Revenue Management on brand.com promotional modules, rate offers, and Hilton Honors / Marriott Bonvoy / IHG One Rewards program content
Creative Production & Brand Standards
- Produce or coordinate all property marketing materials: F&B menus, promotional flyers, event signage, in-room collateral, email campaigns, and digital ad creative
- Ensure all guest-facing materials — printed and digital — meet brand standards for each flag (Hilton, Marriott, and IHG) and reflect the property’s lifestyle positioning
- Maintain and organize the property imagery and collateral library; ensure all stakeholders (DOSM, GM, F&B teams, Revenue) have access to current, properly filed assets
- Manage print production vendors and coordinate on timelines, proofing, and delivery
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing on larger creative projects, brand updates, and website redesigns
Photography, Video & Influencer
- Coordinate and supervise professional photo and video shoots at the properties; develop shot lists, brief photographers, and manage asset delivery and filing
- Capture on-site content (iPhone or equivalent) for real-time social use at activations, events, and seasonal moments
- Identify, vet, and coordinate media and influencer visits: outreach, agreements, on-site hosting, and content review
- Maintain press kit materials and property fact sheets in coordination with the VP of Marketing
F&B and Outlet Marketing
- Serve as the marketing partner for each property’s restaurant and outlet teams: develop promotional campaigns, seasonal programming support, and event marketing
- Act as a strategic resource and sounding board for the F&B team on activation ideas, ensuring outlet programming has the marketing support it needs to reach the right audience
- Ensure all restaurant digital presences — social accounts, websites, listing platforms — reflect current menus, hours, programming, and photography
Strategy, Planning & Reporting
- Work with the DOSM, Revenue Manager, and VP of Marketing to develop the annual marketing plan and budget for each property, aligned to revenue goals
- Compile and submit a monthly marketing reporting round-up: performance across all channels, campaign results, engagement data, and strategic recommendations
- Proactively monitor local market trends, competitive set activity, and relevant cultural moments to inform content and campaign strategy
- Manage email marketing programs for the properties: database growth, monthly campaigns, and performance tracking
- Identify local brand partnerships and community marketing opportunities aligned with each property’s positioning
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
You’re a strong fit if you’re…
- A genuine hospitality and food & beverage enthusiast — you understand what makes a great guest experience and can translate it into compelling marketing
- Equally comfortable developing strategy and getting into execution — you don’t need to be handed a brief to know what to do
- A strong visual communicator with an eye for lifestyle brand content and a personal standard for quality that’s higher than “good enough.”
- Organized and self-managing — you can hold multiple workstreams across three properties and three brand flags without things falling through the cracks
- A confident communicator who can represent the brand externally and hold vendors accountable with clarity and professionalism
- Energized by being on-property and in the mix — this role requires presence, not remote execution from a desk
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years of marketing experience in hotel and/or F&B environments; prior hands-on experience in multi-property or area roles is a plus
- Demonstrated social media content creation and channel management experience, with a portfolio that reflects lifestyle brand sensibility
- Proficiency in Canva
- Working knowledge of OTA platforms, Google Business Profile management, and brand.com content management systems
- Familiarity with at least one major brand flag system (Hilton, Marriott, or IHG) and comfort navigating brand standards and portal tools
- Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems
- Strong writing and copyediting skills — you can write a caption, a subject line, a website paragraph, and a menu description with equal confidence
- Comfort with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or equivalent) and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
Preferred
- Experience across multiple brand flag families (Hilton + Marriott, or Hilton + IHG, etc.)
- Established relationships with local Florida travel and lifestyle media or influencer community
- Photography or video production experience beyond iPhone content capture
- Experience with pre-opening or rebranding marketing programs
