Position Summary

This position will require relocation to our corporate office in Greensboro, NC. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the overall sales, marketing and business development strategies across the hotel portfolio. This role drives top-line revenue growth through strategic leadership, market analysis, brand positioning, customer engagement, and team development while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute portfolio-wide sales and marketing strategies, annual budgets, and business plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead and mentor sales leaders across group, corporate, consortia, and leisure segments, fostering a high-performance culture and talent development.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, distribution, channel mix, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total revenue performance.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, CRM programs, and strategic partnerships to increase market share and brand awareness.
  • Manage corporate, group, and consortia business development, including account management, RFP strategies, trade marketing programs, and industry partnerships.
  • Direct participation in key industry events, trade shows, client engagements, and networking organizations.
  • Ensure effective use of sales, reservation, and distribution systems, including Delphi, Demand 360, etc.
  • Lead quarterly action plans, sales reporting, forecasting, and performance reviews.
  • Proficient in hospitality technology and revenue management platforms, including PEP, Opera PMS, Power of M, Lighthouse and Kalibri Labs.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and corporate leadership to support property-level and portfolio-wide objectives.
  • Establish performance standards, accountability measures, and incentive programs to drive team productivity and results.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while building a strong leadership pipeline for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience within hospitality, including strategic sales, brand development, and revenue growth responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success managing group, corporate, consortia, and hotel sales segments.
  • Strong industry network and established customer relationships.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, marketing plans, and revenue strategies.
  • Proven ability to build, coach, and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Opera, and hospitality sales systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of current hospitality industry trends, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
