What You’ll Be Doing

As a Housekeeping Inspector, you’ll ensure that every guest room and public space meets the exceptional cleanliness and service standards of the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa. You’ll lead by example—coaching and supporting the housekeeping team to deliver consistency, quality, and care that guests can see and feel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards are met.

  • Supervise and support Room Attendants and Housepersons, ensuring all assignments are completed to brand standards.

  • Coordinate daily room assignments, track progress, and update the Front Office on room readiness.

  • Inspect and approve VIP rooms; ensure accuracy and timeliness of room status communication.

  • Oversee end-of-day closure procedures—restocking, cart organization, and cleanliness checks.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in linen closets, storage areas, and service hallways.

  • Handle and log “Lost and Found” items in accordance with hotel policy.

  • Communicate maintenance issues or repair needs and follow up to ensure resolution.

  • Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of housekeeping associates.

  • Participate in deep cleaning projects and quality assurance programs.

  • Step in to assist with cleaning tasks during high-demand periods when needed.

What Is Required
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel operations.

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to use mobile devices, digital tracking tools, or property management systems.

  • Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

  • Professional demeanor and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
