Line Cook

We're looking for a dependable, energetic Line Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in preparing high-quality meals. If you enjoy working as part of a team, maintaining high food safety standards, and creating great dining experiences for our guests, we'd love to meet you!

Position Summary

As a Line Cook, you will prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards while supporting the daily operations of the kitchen. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and fellow kitchen team members to ensure every guest receives fresh, delicious meals in a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning meats, and other prep work.
• Maintain proper food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Plate dishes accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Monitor food quality throughout service.
• Rotate and properly store food using FIFO practices.
• Maintain inventory levels and notify management when supplies are low.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Support fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hotel cooking experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of line cook or culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Must be dependable and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
