What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of hotel operations while inspiring your team to consistently exceed Marriott brand standards and guest expectations.

You'll be responsible for:

Leadership & Culture
  • Build, coach, and inspire a team that delivers outstanding hospitality every day.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture built on accountability, recognition, teamwork, and respect.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a hands-on leadership style.
Guest Experience
  • Create memorable guest experiences that drive exceptional Guest Satisfaction scores.
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally while empowering associates to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure Marriott brand standards are consistently executed throughout the hotel.
Financial Performance
  • Drive revenue growth while maximizing profitability.
  • Manage all aspects of the hotel's P&L, forecasting, budgeting, labor management, and expense controls.
  • Analyze market trends, STR reports, demand patterns, and revenue opportunities to maximize ADR, Occupancy, and RevPAR.
  • Develop action plans that improve financial performance and market share.
Operations Excellence
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Sales support.
  • Maintain exceptional property appearance through preventative maintenance and capital improvement planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott standards, company policies, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead renovation and capital projects as needed.
Business Development
  • Maximize room revenue using effective yield management strategies.
  • Partner with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams to increase market share.
  • Promote local community engagement and strengthen relationships with guests, businesses, and partners.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
  • Previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, or similar branded hotel.
  • Proven success leading hotel operations and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel financial management including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and P&L analysis.
  • Experience improving Guest Satisfaction scores and achieving operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of STR reports, revenue management, ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR, and market performance.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel Property Management Systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent walking throughout the hotel, climbing stairs, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs throughout the property.
