Acts as a guest liaison. Makes travel arrangements, dining reservations, procures tickets, offers suggestions for local attractions or areas of interest. Represents the 400 years of history of the three cultures of New Mexico with accuracy and objectivity. A certain degree of creativity, latitude and problem solving is required.
Job Duties:
- Excellent organizational skills, must prioritize daily tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision. Must remain calm, making reasonable/appropriate decisions at all times.
- Ability to gather & analyze information from various sources, and choose a reasonable and responsible course of action. May be required to think outside the box and be creative, while staying within established guidelines.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments and local businesses. Must maintain a courteous, friendly, professional work environment.
- Must be customer service oriented when dealing with both internal & external customers. Must have the ability to listen carefully when interacting with others, paying attention to the key items mentioned by the guests, and fulfilling requests when reasonably possible.
- Must cover the concierge desk during scheduled times, adhere to company guidelines and procedures and follow directions of the Lead Concierge/Terrace Inn Manager.
- Must have extensive knowledge of local entertainment, restaurants, shops, exhibits and other attractions, etc.
- Provide guest assistance with florists, couriers, mail services, tickets, transportation needs, etc.
Specific Requirements
- Must require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.
- Must have clear, concise communications skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual skills a definite plus.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times, stay poised under all circumstances, remaining polite, courteous and helpful.
- Honor all commitments to colleagues and others, treat colleagues respectfully, never practice nor permit discrimination of any type.
- Respect and protect the confidentiality of all guests.

LV’s younger brother, Frank, later partnered with him in the hospitality industry. Les V. Bentley II is the eldest son of Frank Bentley. Les continued working in the hospitality industry with Marriott Hotels, then Wyndham Hotels and eventually founded Aimbridge Hospitality. Les has four daughters who had established independent careers and have now converged at BLH continuing the family tradition leading in hospitality.
