Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore, a landmark lifestyle hotel where bold design, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable guest experiences come together.

Your Impact

As General Manager, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the Kimpton Monaco Baltimore, inspiring your team to deliver extraordinary guest experiences while achieving outstanding financial results.

This role requires a highly visible, hands-on leader who embraces Kimpton's culture of individuality and heartfelt hospitality. You will cultivate an engaging workplace, strengthen the hotel's presence within the Baltimore community, and lead every aspect of the operation with passion, accountability, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership
  • Drive overall hotel performance through strategic leadership and strong financial acumen.
  • Analyze key business metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, market share, GOP, and guest satisfaction to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and execute annual operating budgets, business plans, and capital strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue while maintaining operational excellence and expense control.
People Leadership & Culture
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive culture built on accountability, recognition, and continuous development.
  • Create an environment where associates feel empowered to deliver memorable guest experiences.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to support talent acquisition, succession planning, associate relations, and leadership development.
  • Lead with authenticity while championing Crescent's culture and Kimpton's people-first philosophy.
Operations & Guest Experience
  • Ensure consistent execution of Kimpton brand standards while preserving the hotel's unique personality.
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the hotel, engaging with guests and associates daily.
  • Oversee all operational departments to ensure exceptional quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Continuously elevate the guest experience through innovation, service excellence, and operational discipline.
Food & Beverage Leadership
  • Champion a vibrant and profitable food and beverage operation that complements the hotel's lifestyle positioning.
  • Partner with culinary and restaurant leadership to drive guest satisfaction, local market relevance, and financial performance.
  • Support innovative programming, events, and experiences that enhance the hotel's reputation within the community.
Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement
  • Serve as the public face of the hotel, building strong relationships with ownership, clients, community leaders, tourism partners, and local organizations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management to maximize market share and profitability.
  • Support creative marketing initiatives that strengthen the hotel's positioning within Baltimore's competitive lifestyle hotel market.
  • Represent Crescent and Kimpton with professionalism, passion, and integrity.
Communication & Execution
  • Communicate effectively with ownership, corporate partners, and hotel leadership.
  • Foster collaboration across all departments through transparent, consistent communication.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Kimpton brand standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Lead change initiatives while maintaining focus on operational excellence and associate engagement.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven success as a General Manager or senior hotel executive leading a full-service, luxury, or lifestyle hotel.
  • Experience with Kimpton, IHG, Marriott Autograph Collection, Hyatt, W Hotels, Thompson, Pendry, or similar lifestyle brands is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex food and beverage operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with a history of delivering exceptional business results.
  • Highly visible, inspirational leadership style with a passion for developing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with ownership, associates, guests, and community partners.
  • A strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced lifestyle hospitality environment.
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences while building an award-winning workplace culture.
