Assistant General Manager

Do you enjoy developing teams, solving operational challenges, and creating memorable guest experiences? We're looking for an energetic and service-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead the daily operations of the Courtyard by Marriott Mission Valley / Hotel Circle.

Working alongside the General Manager, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting department leaders, and ensuring every guest leaves with a great impression.

What You'll Do

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
• Lead Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other operational departments as needed.
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and associates to achieve exceptional performance.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Help manage labor, expenses, and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and profitability goals.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide visible leadership throughout the hotel.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience.
• Previous Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or Rooms Division leadership experience preferred.
• Marriott experience is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to inspire teams while maintaining a hands-on management style.
• Passion for hospitality and creating outstanding guest experiences.
