Job Summary

The Racquet Club Attendant provides exceptional service to members and guests while assisting with the daily operation of the Racquet Club. Responsibilities include managing court reservations, arranging matches, processing transactions, communicating club information, and maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts, as needed.
  2. Arrive at work on time and maintain consistent attendance.
  3. Arrive in the required uniform, which must be clean, professional, and in good condition.
  4. Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with Club grooming standards.
  5. Attend all required training sessions, safety courses, and departmental meetings.
  6. Identify and report safety hazards and assist with maintaining a safe environment.
  7. Greet members and guests by name whenever possible and provide attentive, personalized service.
  8. Complete the opening and closing procedures for the Racquet Club.
  9. Keep members and guests informed of court conditions, schedule changes, events, and other relevant Club information.
  10. Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and communicate information accurately to colleagues.
  11. Schedule court reservations and accurately maintain the court booking system.
  12. Arrange matches for members and guests requesting playing partners.
  13. Operate the point-of-sale system and cash register accurately.
  14. Maintain responsibility for register contents and complete all required forms.
  15. Post charges to the appropriate member or guest accounts.
  16. Balance and submit daily transactions and required documentation to Accounting at the end of the shift.
  17. Assist with merchandise displays, sales, and inventory as assigned.
  18. Complete all duties assigned by the Director of Racquets or other members of management.
Qualifications
  • Previous high-quality customer service experience is preferred.
  • Cashiering, merchandising, point-of-sale, and computer experience is helpful.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet or exceed member and guest expectations.
  • Must meet established grooming and appearance standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform the physical responsibilities associated with opening, closing, and operating the Racquet Club.
Schedule

This is a part-time position scheduled approximately 12–21 hours per week. Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
