Payroll Manager
Expected Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience
A family-owned real estate and hospitality company based out of NYC is seeking an experienced Payroll Manger. This is a dynamic, high-trust role that is responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll across multiple company entities and employee populations. This is a strictly in-office position; remote work will not be considered.
Our ideal candidate is a proactive payroll leader who can independently resolve complex issues, strengthen controls, and improve processes beyond transactional payroll administration.
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, at least some of which involved a union workforce
- Must have experience with ADP WorkforceNow
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, and payroll accounting
- Demonstrated experience leading payroll process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and reconciliation reporting
- Experience supporting hourly workforce across both real estate and hospitality sectors strongly preferred
