The events coordinator oversees the planning, organization and execution of events, in collaboration with the sales and banquets team.
Responsibilities- Process, qualify, confirm and coordinate group and banquet requests (events, room rentals, room blocks).
- Serve as lead catcher for group requests.
- Coordinate confirmed groups by the sales manager, from contract signature until group departure (rooms, food, accommodations, etc.).
- Write and distribute banquet event orders (BEO).
- Collaborate with operational teams to plan needs and ensure that all departments receive necessary information (food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping...).
- Provide personalized service to clients before, during and after the event.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail, team spirit and dynamism.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Diploma of collegial studies in the field of hospitality (an asset).
- Ability to use advanced functions of computer systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Delphi, Fosse: an asset).
- Bilingualism.
