Director of Security

Description

Concord Hospitality is seeking a proactive and experienced Director of Security to lead all safety and security operations at our hotel. This key role is dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure environment for guests and associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Interview, hire, train, and manage a team of security officers to uphold safety and order across the property.
• Create and manage schedules, balancing hotel operational needs with productivity and coverage goals.
• Conduct regular property walkthroughs and surveillance to identify and mitigate potential security threats or suspicious activity.
• Lead the hotel’s safety committee, enforce OSHA compliance, and oversee all safety protocols.
• Develop and implement safety incentive programs and ongoing training initiatives to promote a culture of safety.
• Investigate incidents such as accidents, thefts, and property loss, preparing detailed reports and ensuring proper follow-up.
• Review incoming security-related correspondence and disseminate critical information to relevant staff members.
• Coordinate routine safety inspections and collaborate with security personnel to maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in security leadership within a hotel, corporate, or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
• Effective leadership and team development skills with an emphasis on training and motivation.
• Excellent observational skills, problem-solving abilities, and report writing proficiency.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all hotel departments to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
