Hotel with 16 Rooms
Full-Time

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL GENERAL MANAGER

Palacio Meredith by La Compañia Hotels and Resorts is seeking a General Manager with a true passion for luxury hospitality—a leader who understands that exceptional service is not simply about responding to requests, but about anticipating them before they are made.

Palacio Meredith will be an intimate luxury property featuring just 16 Junior Suites and Suites, allowing us to deliver a highly personalized and carefully curated guest experience.

The property will feature a distinctive collection of experiences, including:
  • 16 Junior Suites and Suites
  • An elegant Champagne Room
  • Two specialty restaurants
  • A sophisticated Spa
  • Swimming pool
  • Rooftop experience
  • An authentic English Pub

We are simply not looking for someone to manage a hotel.

We are looking for a host, an ambassador and a guardian of the Palacio Meredith experience.

Our General Manager must have an extraordinary eye for detail, a natural ability to connect with guests, and the presence to make every person who enters Palacio Meredith feel genuinely recognized and cared for.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and highly visible leader, equally comfortable welcoming a guest personally, inspecting the smallest details of a suite, supporting the team during restaurant service, or creating an unexpected moment that transforms a stay into a lasting memory.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:
  • Proven leadership experience in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality
  • A strong background in Food & Beverage and fine dining service
  • Experience with butler-style or highly personalized service
  • Exceptional attention to detail and uncompromising service standards
  • The instinct to anticipate guest preferences and needs before they need to ask
  • A genuine passion for creating memorable and highly personalized experiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion and emotional intelligence
  • The ability to inspire a team to understand that luxury is found in the smallest details
  • A leadership philosophy based on presence, example and genuine care

At Palacio Meredith, we believe the finest hospitality feels effortless.

It is remembering a preference without being reminded.

Noticing what others may overlook.

Anticipating rather than reacting.

And creating moments guests never had to request.

Our General Manager will have the opportunity—and responsibility—to know our guests, understand their preferences, and ensure that every aspect of their experience reflects the personality and standards of Palacio Meredith.

If this is the way you understand hospitality, we would like to meet you.

About Palacio Meredith by La Compañia Hotels and Resorts

Opening Early 2027

Welcome to Palacio Meredith.

A Conversion of current Meredith residence into Panama’s premier and undisputed luxury boutique hotel operated by working partner La Compañia Hotels and Resorts.

A Sanctuary at the Gateway to Casco Antiguo

Nestled at the threshold of Casco Antiguo—where Panama City’s skyline rises like a constellation of glass spires above colonial cobblestone—Palacio Meredith stands at the epicenter of Central America’s most exhilarating emerging haven. Here, where the hum of the Panama Canal mingles with the whisper of rainforest-fringed shores, this is not merely a stay. It is immersion. A descent into the continent’s highest expression of bespoke residency. Sixteen keys. Four restored 1800s buildings. One uber-boutique sanctuary reborn as an iconic jewel.

Arrival: Where the World Falls Away

At the entrance, a discreet sentinel ensures only residents, and their cherished guests cross this threshold. The moment you step inside, the outside world dissolves. Jasmine vines climb sun-warmed stone, perfuming the air like a quiet prelude. Private reception unfolds. Victorian gilded moldings twist across vaulted ceilings, embracing a grand staircase that rises with the drama of a bygone era. Above, one of Central America’s most extraordinary collections of crystal chandeliers cascades in luminous tiers, scattering rainbows across ninety hand-selected Persian carpets—centuries captured in silk, softening your steps to reverence. Every wall holds a pulse: brooding seascapes, mist-soaked highland watercolors, and bold contemporary canvases by visionary Central American artists. It is the soul of the isthmus made visible

The Courtyard: The Heartbeat

Beyond reception, the residence opens around a serene courtyard where an azure pool lies still as glass, mirroring palm fronds and starlit sky. Sixteen rooms encircle it like intimate chapters of a leather-bound book. Each is singular, each meticulously curated. Velvet-draped chambers with antique filigree. Warm teak sanctuaries with hand-stitched linens. Private balconies framing the bay like a personal sonnet. Linens finer than whispers, bespoke fragrances, textures that feel lived-in yet untouched. Butler service remains invisible until the instant it isn’t—anticipating desires before they surface: a chilled vintage champagne at dusk, the gentle shift of a curtain to soften midday sun. Mornings arrive with à la carte breakfasts prepared in the private dining room or the privacy of your room: pearlescent poached eggs, tropical fruit blushing with dew, coZee roasted mere miles away.

The Soul

Here, the soul of the residence unfolds in every carefully curated detail. Within the Blue Room, the piano sighs, champagne whispers, and blinis and caviar delight the senses. The private pub, with its warmth and exclusive ambiance, invites glasses to clink as Panama twinkles outside like a well-kept secret. In the library, cognac bottles climb like dark ivy, and books older than nations await your discovery. Every detail within the soul of Palacio Meredith is woven with purpose, blending luxury and intimacy into an unforgettable experience.

The Secret World Below

A hidden cloister corridor from the 1800s leads to the wine room. Its moss-kissed arches recall the footsteps of Franciscan friars. A concealed staircase spirals downward into a spectacular cellar that sits cheek-to-cheek with the gentleman’s lounge—leather, billiards, cigars, and secrets held in the grain of the wood.

The Skyward Retreat

Above, the rooftop spa awaits sauna steaming away regrets, cold plunge restoring clarity, rooftop pool suspending you over the city like a privileged whisper between skyline and sky.

This is not a hotel.

This is residency. This is where it finally-quietly, luxuriously, permanently-starts to feel like home.
