Compensation: $21.00 to $21.13 per hour, Full-Time

Overview

A Bell Attendant is responsible for assisting guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner. They make their presence in the lobby welcoming every guest this includes but is not limited to, assisting with bags, upkeep of the lobby area, opening doors, monitoring the Porte Cache/Driveway, and assisting Front Desk/Concierge in responding to guest needs.  

What you will be doing

  • Maintain presence at the Lobby Front Entry Door and Bell Podium.
  • Monitor Parking Permits for all Vehicles on site, issue violation notices and direct guests to purchase permits at the appropriate place.
  • Keep parking areas clean and report deficiency's to appropriate departments.
  • Provide exceptional guest service utilizing the service culture and H.E.A.R.T steps.
  • Keep port a cache clear and safe from vehicles.
  • Be able to assist Front Desk including: Room moves, luggage assists, packages and lobby presence.
  • Be knowledgeable of Concierge procedures in order to assist when needed.
  • Must work with all aspects of the Front Office including:
    • Front Desk
    • Concierge
    • PBX
    • Housekeeping and Engineering
  • Able to fulfill guest requests in a timely manner and able to multitask dealing with several requests at a time.
  • Knowledge of the surrounding area including direction & tourist destinations.
  • Ensuring procedures are followed when dealing with all safety and security issues are concerned in the front office.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Have a great attitude
  • Knowledge of software system to troubleshoot. Preferred Micros Opera Systems.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Opera System.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Must be knowledgeable and possess the ability to perform all clerk essential functions and supportive functions.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Previous Customer Service or Hotel Experience Preferred.
