Follow hotel emergency procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Use proper personal protective equipment and follow established procedures when handling tools, chemicals, ladders, and equipment.

Never perform electrical, HVAC, or other specialized work beyond authorized training and qualifications.

6. Communication and Shift Responsibilities

Communicate outstanding maintenance issues, completed repairs, and follow-up requirements to the Chief Engineer and incoming engineering staff.

Maintain a written or electronic log of maintenance calls, room PMs, inspections, and projects completed during the shift.

Coordinate with the front desk and housekeeping teams regarding room access, guest requests, and maintenance-related room status changes.

Protect guest privacy and minimize noise and disruption while working in occupied areas.

Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service when interacting with guests and associates.

Additional Responsibilities
