Our team at Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton is looking for qualified candidates to join our team as hotel Group Housing Sales Associate.

Who You Will Become

As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the go-to person for group reservations, or special corporate reservations. You will build great rapport with booking coordinators, company representatives, and repeat clientele, and they will have your direct line on fast dial whenever they want to book. You will handle social business be it sports, reunions or association groups. You will work closely with a growing and vibrant sales team and will acquaint yourself with the PMS, the booking engine and sales platforms. Do you like numbers? The position will expose you to learning about how hotel rates are set. In short, this is a fun, educative position for the right candidate.

Job Description & Duties

Candidates must possess customer service driven personalities and/or have previous Opera PMS experience. Previous hotel front desk or reservations experience would be a plus.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for:

• Lead and champion hotel sales activities as assigned.
• Conduct sales and cold calls to ensure constant flow of business; and cultivate new opportunities.
• Solicit from new and existing clients .
• Review pace and sales with the DOS on a regular basis.
• Negotiate rates and perks with prospective accounts.
• As a representative of the hotel, participate in Trade and Bridal Shows.
• Prospecting new clients using internal and outside sales techniques.
• Prepare sales report showing sales activity and potential sales.
• Firm up group business through pricing, generating proposals and agreements.
• Where applicable, maintain and communicate an event information calendar.
• Interface with other departments to ensure proper set up for successful coordination of in-house groups and events.
• Follow up on leads ensuring timely response and immediate turnaround.
• Checking in with group clients to ensure that their stays were to their satisfaction.
• Other duties as required by Management.
• Ability to work mornings/afternoons/nights/weekends/ is required.
