For our Finance Department we are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk. Within this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Checking and managing Direct Bills from previous business day(s) and attaching all supporting documents before sending it out to the customer.
• Monitoring receivable accounts via email and telephone. Communicate with relevant departments and follow up on queries and account disputed to ensure payments are settled within agreed credit terms.
• Check open house account and group master balances on a daily basis to ensure that all events are checked out in a timely manner.
• Track general ledger and explain or resolve any variances.
• Review and approve all write-offs and calculate bad debt provision during month end.
• Organize, prepare and host monthly credit meetings, record and send out minutes afterwards.
• Perform Credit checks based on the requested credit applications forms.
• Travel Agency commissions checked in TACS, verified and approved daily (including non-standard commissions and non-centrally paid commissions).

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• General support in the Finance Office when business circumstances require this

Training/coaching of Trainees in liaison with the Assistant Financial Controller/Assistant Finance Manager.

• Support during internal and external audits
