Canopy Tour Cashier

The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts are hiring seasonal Canopy Tour Cashiers to join our Lake Erie Canopy Tours team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. As a Canopy Tour Cashier you will be responsible for providing excellent guest service and managing all transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities 

• Handle and manage booking inquiries and reservations via an online reservation and point of sale system.
• Greet, check-in and provide the relevant information to tour guests when they arrive at the welcome center.
• Processes sales with appropriate point of sale system, accepts payment, counts change and bags merchandise.
• Handling cash transactions with guests, issuing receipts, refunds and change making.
• Maintain orderly appearance of point of sale and retail area
• Stock shelves as needed and price items as the come in.
• Routinely stocks merchandise and faces items on shelves.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

• Previous experience using point of sale system required.
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of reservation systems and excel preferred.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service environment preferred.

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to bend, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time
