Assistant Front Office Manager

Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to contribute to the hotel’s commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork, creating memorable experiences and showcasing the Aloha Spirit.  Be a part of a team and deliver innovative guest experiences.

The Assistant Front Office Manager contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Assistant Front Office Manager will supervise and coach other Gallery and Lead Gallery Hosts and resolve escalated guest issues. Experience with Opera or similar systems a plus.

The Assistant Front Office Manager creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment. This position is responsible for the complete guest experience; to include the Gallery Host Stand, Gallery Bar, the Placery Café, the Guest Kitchen (food preparation, the e-room and the TV den, guest check in and out and the servicing of the meeting rooms.  Must be able to obtain a liquor commission blue card. Previous guest service experience as well as the ability to communicate well with guests desired.

The Assistant Front Office Manager is in constant communication with the Bell Stand to ensure guests are escorted and their luggage and personal items are transported to and from the guest rooms efficiently. It’s important to ensure that guests are comfortable with accommodations and are familiar with room offerings and features.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Experience in a hotel environment with 2 to 3 years' experience is preferred.
• Must have schedule flexibility for weekends and holidays and evenings
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing and additional language abilities are a strong plus
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a blue liquor card
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift, pull, and push 25 lbs on a regular basis
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
